Before you write: Run Diagnostics
Open File → Plug-in Manager → Cut Corners: Support → Run Diagnostics. It reports the plugin version, license state, which detection engine is active, and whether that engine actually runs — paste the output into your email and you'll usually get a one-reply fix.
For detection problems, also enable Save diagnostic images in the run dialog and attach the overlay images for a frame or two, or a couple of original scans (downsized is fine).
For crashes or odd behavior, tick Write a log file for support in the same section, reload the plugin, reproduce the problem, and attach Documents/lrClassicLogs/CutCorners.log.
Common questions
The menu item is grayed out
Select at least one photo in the Library grid first.
“Detector produced no result”
The lightweight build needs Python 3 with OpenCV (python3 -m pip install opencv-python numpy) and the correct Python executable path in the Plug-in Manager. Or switch to the standard download, which bundles the engine.
Most of a roll was skipped
Check the skip reasons in the summary — they name the exact rule. The usual causes: wrong film type, or a format preset that doesn't match the roll (half frame vs full frame). Use Settings & Preview… to watch detection live while you fix the setting.
My scans have no border / are pre-cropped
Detection needs the film rebate visible around the frame. Scans already cropped to the image can't be improved by Cut Corners — there's nothing to find.
Does anything get uploaded?
No. Detection runs entirely on your machine; the plugin makes no network requests, ever. License validation is offline too.
I bought a license — where's my key?
It was shown right after checkout and emailed to you (subject “Your Cut Corners license”). Lost both? Email us from the address you bought with and we'll resend it.
How many machines can I use it on?
The license is per person, not per machine — install it on the computers you personally use.
Refunds
The 30-image trial exists so you can be sure before paying, but if the plugin doesn't work out anyway, email within 14 days of purchase for a full refund.
